Why Briarcliff

The owner runs your job. Every day, start to finish.

Most remodeling companies sell you on the salesman and send you a crew. You meet a nice person in a clean shirt, sign a contract, and then strangers show up at seven in the morning for three weeks and you never see that first guy again.

That is not how this works.

Erich Ingram walks your bathroom, quotes your job, and is on it from demo to the final wipe down. He sets the tile and the waterproofing himself, because that is the part that has to be right and it is the part he is best at. When you have a question at day nine, you ask the owner, and he is standing in your bathroom.

Nothing gets lost between the person who promised it and the person who built it.

Built right

Built the way it should be built in 2026, not 2006.

Almost every bathroom that fails, fails at the waterproofing. Not the tile. Not the grout. The layer underneath that nobody sees and plenty of people skip.

The first photo is what a shower built to 2006 standards looks like at year twelve. The tile was fine. The tile is always fine. What failed was the layer behind it, and by the time it reaches the ceiling below, the repair is not a bathroom. It is a bathroom plus a ceiling plus whatever the water found on the way down.

We build with Schluter and Wedi waterproofing systems behind every surface that will ever meet water. It costs more in material and considerably more in care, and it is the difference between a bathroom that looks good on day one and a bathroom that is still sound in fifteen years.

Three years of workmanship warranty. One callback in the history of the business, and it was handled.

Why he does it

The part he does this for.

Nobody calls a remodeler because they are excited about tile. They call because they have been looking at the same bathroom for years, picturing something better every morning, and they are finally done just picturing it.

That picture is the real job. Erich sits down and pulls it out of your head, the layout you keep redrawing, the tile you saved off somebody else's photo, the shower you assumed belonged in a nicer house than yours. Then he builds it, and he keeps going until what is on your wall matches what was in your head.

There is a moment at the end of every job when the homeowner walks in for the first time. Usually it is the wife who pushed for the remodel and the husband who worried about the money. She walks in, she sees it, and she turns to him and says see, I told you this was going to be beautiful.

That is the whole job. Everything else is tile and mortar.

The working estimate

A detailed in-person estimate is $75, or $150 for larger and more complex projects. That covers the time it takes to measure, spec materials, and build a real number instead of a guess. If you hire us, that fee comes off your invoice.

Design and consultation

$500 to $2,000 when a project needs it, depending on scope. Most bathrooms do not.

How long you are without a bathroom

A smaller full bath runs about a week. A large custom build runs three to four weeks. A whole home renovation runs about two months. You get a start date and a finish date in writing, not a range.

How you pay

Half the labor up front, materials handled however is easiest for you. The balance is due when the job is done and you are completely satisfied. Not before.

Process

From your first call to the last wipe down.

01

You call or text.

Tell us what you are thinking. If it is small and you can send a photo, you can often get a ballpark right there.

02

He comes out.

Erich walks the space with you, asks what you are picturing, and shows you photos of similar work. If you want help choosing materials, he will meet you at Floor and Decor and walk the aisles with you. You are the one who has to look at it every day.

03

You get a real quote.

Line by line, labor and materials separated, usually same day or next.

04

Work begins.

Half the labor up front, materials handled however is easiest for you. You get a start date and a finish date, not a maybe.

05

You are happy, then you pay the rest.

The balance is due when the job is done and you are completely satisfied. Not before.
